Israel has struck more than 1,000 Iranian weapons production targets as it intensifies attacks on Tehran’s military industries, the Israeli military said on Thursday.

“The IDF is intensifying its strikes on the Iranian terror regime’s weapons production industries,” the military said in a statement.

The campaign is designed to “degrade the Iranian regime’s weapons production capabilities,” it added, systematically targeting production lines to reduce Iran’s manufacturing, development and research capacity across its military industries.

The announcement came shortly after the US President Donald Trump said talks aimed at ending the conflict were going “very well” and extended his deadline for potential strikes on Iranian energy facilities by 10 days.

On February 28, Israel and the United States launched joint attacks on Tehran and several other Iranian cities. Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed, along with senior military commanders and civilians.

Iran responded with waves of missile and drone strikes targeting Israel and US bases and assets in the Middle East.
