The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has authorised six, followed by the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) four, the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) two, the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) two and the member states of the Accra Initiative, Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) and East African Community (EAC) one.
