The Ukrainian Armed Forces on Tuesday raised to more than 95,000 the number of Russian military personnel “liquidated” in the war that was unleashed on February 24 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The figures far higher than those acknowledged so far by Moscow.

The Ukrainian Army General Staff has said that “some 95,260” Russian servicemen have been killed in action, including 500 over the past day, before adding that 2,966 battle tanks, 1,931 artillery systems, 211 anti-aircraft defence systems and 404 self-propelled and armoured multiple rocket launchers have been destroyed.

He also stressed in a message on his Facebook social network account that 281 aircraft, 264 helicopters, 1,617 drones, 592 cruise missiles, 16 ships and 4,549 vehicles and fuel tanks have also been destroyed. “The data is being updated. Beat the occupier. Let’s win together. Our strength is in the truth,” he has remonstrated.

US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley said on November 10 that Russia has suffered “more than 100,000” casualties, including military dead and wounded, as part of the invasion of Ukraine, before adding that the numbers among the Ukrainian ranks “are probably similar.”
