New UN report says Sudanese paramilitary group RSF killed over 1,000 civilians in Zamzam in single attack
Zamzam was the largest displacement camp in Sudan with more than 500,000 people there prior to the April attacks. RSF blocked entry of food and other essential goods to the Zamzam camp for months prior to the attack, the UN report says.
With 150,000 people killed and 12 million displaced, Sudan’s Darfur region stares at another genocide
Two-and-a-half years since the war started, the situation is at its most volatile, exacerbating the suffering of the Sudanese people and threatening regional stability. African and international action has been slow. Unchecked, history is doomed to repeat itself.
