New tariffs on transatlantic trade, shift to electric cars cited in vehicle production drop in Britain falls to lowest level since 1950s

Exports, which account for more than three-quarters of Britain’s vehicle output, also weakened. Europe remained the largest export destination, taking 56.7 per cent of British-built vehicles, followed by the United States at 15.0 per cent and China at 6.3 per cent.
