On enhancing security in the area, CS Miano observed that the Inspector General of police Douglas Kanja had promised to post officers to a police post that is nearing completion in Kihara location.

“Although Kiahara location is generally secure, the police post was necessitated by the fact that the residents travel distances to get police services,” said Miano.

During the occasion Miano used the day to empower several youth and women groups while the residents highlighted areas they would like addressed, mainly in education, water and roads sectors.
