Kenya: Law in the offing to empower minority groups – some ‘naturalised tribes’ – uprooted by political cruelty in their countries
The meeting brought together representatives of the Tallai, Ogiek, Nubian and Nyarwanda communities, alongside government officials and civil society actors to deliberate on the proposed policy, which promotes unity through inclusion, equitable resource allocation and recognition of cultural diversity.

Speaking during a consultative meeting with members of Turkana Community in Nakuru, Lodoyi admitted that though Articles 56 and 26o of the Constitution recognised minority and marginalised groups, progress had stalled due to absence of a guiding policy.
