Hundreds of Ghana’s Ga ethnic community assembled in capital Accra to celebrate annual Homowo festival

To restore harmony in their society, the Ga people offered livestock as sacrifices, prayed, and poured libations to appease the gods. One tradition that has become an integral part of the festival is the preparation of the traditional dish “kpekple,” made from maize, red palm oil, and fish, which is ceremonially sprinkled around homes.
