Value addition: Minister wants investors to package and brand Kenyan export tea locally
The Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe highlighted Kenya’s leadership in global tea production, noting that the country produced 598.47 million kilogrammes in 2024, a 4.95 per cent increase from the previous year, a growth driven by favourable weather, subsidized fertilizer programs, and expanded processing capacity.
